I-18 - CEJA Open Forum - Ethics of Providing Care Abroad
We will first briefly explain the AMA Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs (CEJA) report writing process. Then, after introducing themselves to each other, learners will participate in small groups with one member of CEJA at each table (acting as moderator) to discuss the report in development entitled Global Health: Ethics & Limited Resources. The moderator will present a case to their table related to an aspect of ethics in global health (such as medical student training, reconciling conflicting social traditions, continuity of care, etc.) and facilitate a discussion mimicking the types of questions, considerations and framing that go into a CEJA discussion of a report in development. In a concluding plenary session, each table will share key points of their discussion. If you have any questions, please contact us at 800-621-8335. Should you have questions regarding the content, please contact Elliott Crigger at elliott.crigger@ama-assn.org.
