Target Audience This activity is designed for all physicians, medical students, residents and fellows who are members of the AMA.
Statement of Need There is a need to provide education on how physicians can utilize the AMA's Code of Medical Ethics for guidance in resolving ethical problems and professionalism dilemmas faced in clinical practice. Further, adoption of the modernized Code by the House of Delegates depends on AMA members' and delegates' understanding the changes made to this important document. This session will help physicians understand what and how the changes (substantive and non-substantive) in Chapter 11 - Financing & Delivery of Health Care were made so that they can participate in the process of adopting the new Code.
